Greenville, Miss.- After rocking nightclubs, house parties, baptisms and bar mitzvahs from Maine to Spain and everywhere in between, internationally known party starter DJ Bigg V returns home to the Mississippi Delta to blaze the best in hip-hop and R&B on Greenville’s own WIBT 97.9 The Beat.
Holding down weekday drive time slot from 3 until 7 p.m. as well as lending his expertise in sales and marketing, this dual-purpose DJ named Bigg V brings a much-needed breath of air to a legion of listeners within a 100-mile radius.
“I’ve been given an opportunity to do what I’ve always wanted to do, and that’s talk to my people, motivate my people and play some great music,” he explains. “I’ve had my own mixshows and played in clubs around the world and I know tons of celebrities. But having my own radio block in my own backyard is something that I always wanted to do.”

But his job doesn’t stop there. A man of many hats, Bigg V is also executive director of Cool Running DJs and Team Bigga Rankin Music, vice-president of USA DJs/Texas All Stars DJ and a member of the heralded Hittmenn DJs, the world’s biggest record-breaking coalition.
Without question, Bigg V is one of the premier DJs in the country. Using his music industry expertise, influence and connections, he has been currently using his years of experience to assist the careers of aspiring artists by participating in listening sessions.
“I’m great at breaking new music and connecting them to other DJs,” says Bigg V. “I keep my ear to the ground and close to the streets, so I’ll know who’s going to be next.”

Throughout his career, V has held multiple positions in radio and introduced some of the biggest hit singles from Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Future, 2 Chains and Big KRIT (among many others). From general manager to assistant director of corporate sales, mixshow director and operations manager, he has held down virtually every position in the radio business.
Additionally, he earned multiple nominations at the Southern Entertainment Awards and has been honored with having the Bigg V Award in his namesake with the Southern Coalition Movement Awards and Duval Diamond Awards.
