Spotlight on Sleepy Loco as he releases "In Mook We Trust"

Memphis, the home of the blues has definitely contributed to the sound of the rap scene since the 90s. Most people would agree that the home of Elvis has provided a trendsetting culture that continues to have a global impact through dark melodies and jookin’. As labels continue to sign talent from one of the hottest markets, Sleepy Loco has been establishing himself as one of the city's upcoming artists from the Bluff.

In 2022, the Memphis rapper followed up his fifthteen city “No Deal” promotional tour, by dropping Blu Language 2:Out The Blue. This project garnered over a million streams along with over 500,000 listeners just on his Spotify alone. The Lifted Life Ent spokesman expanded his fan base that populated after going bar for bar with featured artists such as Premo Rice “Popcorn Playa”, Starlito “Not Like Mine”, Eddie Valero “Monopoly”, TripStar “Free The Real” along with platinum producers such as Hitkidd and Blame Swagg.

As Loco takes you on a deep journey capturing his thoughts revealing the pain he’s felt over the years. Although he provides us with pain symphonies, he pushes p on “Spaceships from Memphis” as he exemplifies a better version of himself expressing himself on lines like “I’m me 2.0, new and improved” followed with audio from a scene on The Mack. This is the first song released off this project as fans enjoyed his performance live, as he graced the stage prior to Premo Rice headlining the show. This song also has gained over 2 million views on Facebook alone. The Lifted Life CEO opens up more with lines such as “I can’t feel sh*t I need more affection, mama pray to God I get a spiritual connection” on the track titled “I Cant Feel”. By contrast, the East Memphian is more focused on staying real with himself and less concerned with the wave as he lyrically paints a canvas on tracks such as “Be Myself” and “Always Working”. In addition to the EP, he links with fellow Memphian, Don Trip on “100 Million Dollar Dreams” revealing his loyalty for his brothers and continuing to keep his brother Choppa G name alive, who died tragically in 2022. This project sonically has a different feel from the BLU Language series but gives you a more in depth formal invitation into Sleepy’s world as he transparently taps into another dimension. The year is looking bright for him as he pushes his pen proving he’s one of the best emcees rising out of one of rap music's hottest markets in the world.

[Video] Ryte Eye Ty 'Where Have The Heroes Gone'

A monolithic piano melody comes sweeping out of the silence with the force of a mighty winter wind, and in its wake, the delicate lead vocal of Mr. Ryte EyE Ty starts to fill the air with an aching that is perhaps even more powerful than any of the words he will sing in the next four minutes of play are.
There’s a burden on Ty’s back here, and it isn’t going to go away without a fight; in “Where Have the Heroes Gone,” his latest single, he’ll use any and every tool at his disposal to break away from the pain in the name of connecting with something affectionate and steeped in pure love. His voice is the beacon, his music the bitter darkness that surrounds it, and while there are plenty of ways that one could interpret this song both lyrically and instrumentally, to me, it comes off as being an enigmatic statement piece in an age that has been missing the strain of artistic clarity it offers to us so humbly. “Where Have the Heroes Gone” is a black-and-white pop song, but the substance of its melodies is not status quo at all.

From a lyrical standpoint, Ty isn’t doing much of anything that would qualify as being virtuosic in this song – contrarily, I get the vibe that he’s deliberately trying to stay away from the kind of theatrics so many of his closest rivals in and outside of the adult contemporary scene would just as soon employ in their own work.

He’s got too much to convey to simply hide behind a sophisticated sonic display; right from the get-go in “Where Have the Heroes Gone,” Ty is tethering his vocal to the fabric of the piano’s instrumental chime, which despite being formulaic in the conventional sense is anything but predictable given the context of the music on this occasion. It would be one thing if he were a household name; in this case, he’s merely using a familiar construction to get us acclimated to the more specifically unique components in his sound. It’s a smart way of making a breakthrough single, which this could become if given the right opportunities to shine somewhere on the FM dial (college radio, perhaps?).

If what I’m hearing in “Where Have the Heroes Gone” is on par with what I can expect to find out of the output we get from Ryte EyE Ty’s camp in the future, he’s going to be a player that I would tell any legit indie audiophile to pay attention to this year. Right now, American pop music has reached a crossroads in 2022, and in the time that it would’ve taken an artist to become a genuine figure in any scene around the country c. 2000-2010, the genre itself will be reshaped by independent voices like Ty’s.
The Southeast is arguably going through a bit of an alternative resurgence at the moment, and though it might not be comparable to the alternative renaissance it once enjoyed some thirty years ago at the start of the 1990s, it’s producing sounds and songs like “Where Have the Heroes Gone” that are bound to raise an eyebrow or two well outside of the Southeastern underground.

BGC MELODY – When Lions Roar (World Cup Soccer Song)

African independent record label BGC Melody (#BGCMelody) has launched the first FIFA World Cup 2022 (#fifaworldcup2022) anthem. This should be the official song for the Indomitable Lions - the national soccer team of Cameroon for Qatar 2022 in November (#Qatar2022).

The track "WHEN LIONS ROAR" is a sweet and savvy blend of #Amapiano, #Afrobeats and #Makossa with a dash of spiritual spices. Delivered by the BGC Ensemble of Artists Bah'Ndong, Cindy Mbamdo, Mobe Molondo, Pope Switzeal, Thisis Mokom and Ziiana, and special guest Vernsai Sany. Masterfully produced by Marc Eff of Kovapot Beats on beats composed by HarryBeatz under the creative direction of Don Julio Bats. This will be a soccer anthem for the ages. Football has a new hymn.

 

The single is followed by an album of eleven tracks scheduled for a 15 November release. BGC Melody assembled its Artists and friends, together as one musical group, to release a collective tribute album for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, in view of their participation at the FIFA world Cup 2022 in Qatar. The main song, “When Lions Roar”, is also the title of the album of 11 tracks – symbolizing the 11 players of a soccer/football team. Some of the tracks are musical dedications to Cameroon’s football giants like Roger Milla, Thomas N’Kono, Samuel Eto’o, Song Rigobert. etc.

 

One EDM instrumental track is dedicated to “Abakwa”, or Bamenda, the capital of the Northwest Region of Cameroon, for its contribution over several decades to the rise and growth of football in Cameroon, even during the roughest moments of turmoil. The album is a mix of song, rap and EDM, built of on a foundation of Afrobeats, Amapiano and Makossa fusion.

7 year old multi-talented King Moore releases his new single "Big Dreams"

They say love for music starts at a young age and when music becomes the fabric of who you are, it provides an outlet to express yourself in any aspect you see fit. It ceases to amaze me when I see individuals overcome overwhelming obstacles. Over the last several years, while the rest of the country had their attention taken by the craziness of our times one inmate serving a life sentence on the West Coast has been on a serious grind. King Guru, author of the best-selling urban series DEVILS AND DEMONS has surprised us again with his 'against all odds ingenuity.' Not only has he managed to produce his own podcast called DA TRUTH (available on Spotify), but now he's come out with a nonnude exotic model magazine. The Cell Block author saw a hole created by the passing of DJ KAY SLAY publisher and owner of STRAIGHT STUNTIN MAGAZINE and slithered through it while no one was looking. With the advantage of MAGCLOUD an on-demand magazine publishing company and a black market cell phone, King Guru created KG MAGAZINE. As far as product content, it's amazing! The Only Double R drops the Official Visual for "Filling Me Up"

Music for a lot of people is a way to express yourself, a form of therapy or whatever you want it to be. It allows an artist to be creative in any way they see necessary. Out of all the different ways an artist can be creative in music one way that is popular is the art of telling a story no matter the topic.

The Only Double R is an artist currently in Las Vegas who knows how to lyrically tell a story. With a personality that is Funny, energetic, laid back and peaceful he uses his talent to deliver the expectations he is looking for. You're probably thinking how he tells his story, and he does this by giving the world his latest visual "Feeling me up".

If you listen to the song and you are a true music head, you will hear Aretha Franklin in the chorus. When you watch the video, it only confirms what you were hearing but lyrically he describes a normal day of getting fly and riding in the most luxury vehicle while running into one of his ex-ladies.

The Only Double R breaks down the encounter as if you were in the car riding with him and can see the type of women interested in his drip. Only focused on his success he notices how the ladies are only interested in "Feeling Me Up". The Official Video only adds more flavor to the single and stays consistent with the concept.
